On our own behalf: IT failures at ATRALOsecur

Dear customers and partners of ATRALOsecur,

with regard to the outages of our data centre, IT tools and customer portals, we regret to inform you that ATRALOsecur has become the target of a cyber attack.

We are currently investigating the incidents in our data centre, through which an unauthorised third party may have gained access to our systems. Due to the ongoing analysis, we are currently unable to draw any detailed conclusions about the nature and extent of the hacking attack. We are working intensively with internal and external experts (as well as the relevant authorities) as part of our IT security protocol and are investigating the incident in order to fully clarify its cause.

In the course of the attack, several of our IT systems (and thus also the IT tools and customer portals) have been taken offline (until further notice). Our IT team continues to work at full speed to resolve the outages and restore our IT services to you as quickly as possible.

Please note that we are once again available by email, landline and mobile phone. Your customer advisors / contact persons are available to you via the known telephone numbers and e-mail addresses.

We are aware of the current cyber security situation and our responsibility towards our customers. We are therefore working intensively on the incident and will inform you here on the website about further developments.

Was data stolen during this attack?

Due to the ongoing analyses, we do not yet have any detailed information on a possible data leak. As soon as we receive information on this, we will inform you as soon as possible.

Who accessed your servers?

Please understand that we cannot answer this question due to the ongoing forensic analyses and investigations by the authorities.

How can I currently reach ATRALOsecur?

Your ATRALO contact persons are available at the known landline and mobile numbers as well as by e-mail. We are currently working on restoring access to the client portal. As soon as the customer portal is accessible again, we will inform you here on the website.

Is mail traffic with ATRALOsecur secure?

Mail traffic with ATRALOsecur is possible and secure without restrictions. As part of our IT security protocol, we isolated and shut down our systems immediately after the incident became known. Together with IT security specialists, we have since taken further, even more comprehensive IT security precautions. In addition to the established procedure for cyber attacks, outgoing mails and attachments are scanned by a leading managed endpoint detection and response software (MEDR).

When did you discover the IT security incident?

We identified the unauthorised access to our systems on 1 October 2023. All affected systems were immediately isolated and shut down to prevent further access. Together with external IT security experts and data forensic specialists, we immediately began analysing the incident and implementing further security measures.

Do I have to resubmit documents that I sent to ATRALOsecur from 1 October 2023?

No, these are available and will now be processed step by step, we will contact you again for this.
